So I have been trying to change my lifestyle and make it a healthier one. As a part of that I decided to add tea into my master plan.
I have been researching and found a few good sources are counting tea towards the daily 2.2 litres of water that the human body needs.
My Tea Dilemma is that my heart is torn between Teaopia and DavidsTea. I have touched on that in previous blogs.
Monday I tried the Skinny from DavidsTea. It contains oolong and pu’erh teas which are used to speed your metabolism and block fat absorption after a heavy meal and also contains ginger and ginseng which are two more traditional metabolism uppers.
When I bought The Skinny from DavidsTea I was told that it was a weight loss tea (to aid in weight loss). I thought that it was comparable to the Slim and Slender or the Slimming from Teaopia, but I was mistaken. The taste was completely different and I later found out that The Skinny was meant to be a laxative.
When I tried this tea, the taste reminded me of the Cleansing tea from Teaopia. The Cleansing tea is meant to be used as a laxative and it does not taste pleasant at all. It contains senna leaves, mint, lemongrass, orange flowers, orange peels, ginger pieces, tulsi, balm, garnet apple blossoms, and bay leaves.
I didn't like the Skinny from DavidsTea and I didn't like the Cleansing from Teaopia. Both are similar teas, with similar benefits but for me your better off using a suppository or the pharmacy laxatives if your looking for something strong.
I think for a mild laxative to counter some immediate stomach issues (example: Constipation) the tea is kinder to your belly but you will still need to wait for the tea to move through your system before it works and I needed between 2-3 cups in a sitting to feel benefits.
**********UPDATE:
Ok, So DavidsTea read my blog. This alone means that this company is one that actually takes time to listen to the customers.
One correction, though (straight from the company itself): The Skinny isn't "meant" as a laxative tea... rather, the components in it (pu'erh/oolong) are meant to stimulate your digestive system, & some people find it strong :)
