Christmas is So Close

Well that time of year is here again.

For me it is just not the same anymore. I would like to say the responsibility of having a house to take care of and kids around, and a teenage brother and the hectic holiday shopping are to blame but I would glady do this and more if I had my mom and my grandma here.

The year we lost our mom, I tried to make Christmas special for my family, the next few years I had to push a little harder to make it special. Now... It's hard to push, deep down inside, I really believed that my grandma would get better, I had hope for a miracle. Boy was I wrong, there are no miracles.

I did the gift shopping today, I pretty much got the kids covered. I got a little something for my brother and sister. I still need to get something for my dad, husband and brother in law (my mother in law is in India until January...so I can hold off on her stuff till later). Once that shopping is done I will probably get more excited because tis better to give than receive. Anyways, My husband is so good to me and he gets me everything I want all the time :)

Which reminds me, his birthday is coming BEFORE Christmas, I already got him something awesome for that. I still need to find something for Christmas. But that is gonna be HARD because nothing can really top his birthday gift.

But anyways Christmas is so close, and there is still a bit left to do... I am hoping to be done everything by December 15th. I know I can do it. I hope... because then We have to start planning for our Traditional Christmas Morning Buffet... The question is, Should we do it at my house because it's got the bigger kitchen, or at my sister's place?... hmmm. I dunno yet, but I will figure it out soon enough.
Geez, the holidays are busy whether your ready or not.
