Obiah!!!

Obiah is also known as black magic or witchcraft. West Indian People believe that when something is going wrong it must be Obiah!

I am telling you, it is HORRIBLE because as soon as something happend, even before it happens people go through the lengths of stopping it, or protecting themselves.

Despite the religion of the believers, they go see a pundit (hindu preist) who will read the stars and tell them their past, present and future and will give them a list of things they must do to ward off the evil obiah. These things are usually simple enough, like wearing a certain colour, reciting a verse, doing a prayer at a certain time, eating something etc.

The people you see on T.V. may or may not be gimmicks, but they do charge to ward away evil, however, if you go to a temple the priest wont ask for anything, but it is a good idea to give something out of your own free will.

When you need to do obiah on someone you would have to pay, or figure out how to do it on your own. The Obiah man will have more details about what he or she needs to preform a ritual, usually it is not much and it doesn't require contact with the person you want to curse.

The only thing I would keep in mind is Karma. If you believe in Obiah, then you need to believe in other energies such as Karma. So whatever you do, keep in mind it will come back to you 3 times worse in the same way, or it may even take on a different diguise.

If you do the curse/spell on your own, then you can almost bet that Karma will get you 3 times worse...Now I am not sure how Karma works if you get someone else to preform the ritual.
